When you make a purchase of anything from my site, the payment is not processed on my site. You are actually sent to PayPal for that, so the transaction actually takes place through their site and security. PayPal is the industry leader for online payments and their security is amazing. I’ve been using them for years, both accepting payments as a vendor through my site, and as a customer on other sites. I have never had a problem. I’ve never even heard of them having a problem at any time at all.
Wish I could say the same for using my card at Home Depot and Target stores. I’ve had to have a new card issued twice after using it at those stores. I feel confident in saying that you are probably safer shopping online through PayPal with your card, or buying something through a PayPal account, than you would be in a regular “brick and mortar” store or at a restaurant.
